The Airship Museum project, the Pennoyer Centre, Pulham St Mary, Norfolk
Jess was part of a National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF)-funded initiative to create a museum focused on World War I airships.
She played a key role in developing engaging content for younger audiences, which included designing a children’s area, working with metal fabricators to create a mini replica of a rigid airship control car, complete with interactive elements like a steering wheel, exhibition boards, carrier pigeons, and a stowaway cat.
She developed an activity plan linked to the national curriculum, covering history, science, maths, and literacy and led outreach workshops for local schools dressed as a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Army Corp. (who were stationed at the Pulham Airship station).
