Lowestoft Town Hall Project, for Lowestoft Town Council

Jess, working as an Associate for Moss King Associates, undertook an integral role in the £12 million Lowestoft Town Hall redevelopment project.

The project is a Lowestoft Town Council initiative to transform the Grade II listed Lowestoft Town Hall (currently closed) into a multi-functional building that will become an inclusive centre for community and visitors.

She contributed from the initial funding applications through to planning and delivery, focusing on audience engagement, interpretation, and activity plans. Her other responsibilities included community surveys and focus groups, delivering activities, budget management, procurement, developing volunteer and collections policies, staff mentoring, and archival research.

Jess also managed relationships with interpretation designers, architects, consultants, and contractors.

Jess commissioned the Lowestoft Memories Tricycle; designed to look like a fishing smack. She cycled this around the town to document people’s memories and raise awareness of the project.
